Donald Mackin

Mackin Donald, age 80, of Little Canada, passed away December 15, 2001 in Fosston, MN due to complications following a stroke this fall. Preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor Kelly; brother, Bob (Bebe); wife of 56 years, Laura Ann and grandson, Joe. Survived by daughters, Sharon (Antoni) Lewandowski and Pamela (Mark) Simonson; son, Terry (Judy); grandchildren, Daniel, Aaron, Tonia, Sasha, Sherry Anne, Nicholas, Teresa, Kate and many other loving relatives. Don entered the MN National Guard in Sept. 1940. He saw action in Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge before being discharged in 1946. He retired from the St. Paul School District in 1982 after a 33 year career in Deaf Education and Vocational Counseling (Douglas, Central HS and St. Paul TVI). Don was active in Boy Scouts for many years. Visitation Monday, 4-8 pm at Anderson Funeral Home, 1401 Arcade St., St. Paul and at church 1 hour preceding the service. Funeral service 1:30 pm, Tuesday at Arlington Hills United Methodist Church, 759 E. County Rd. B, Maplewood. Interment Sunset Memorial Park.
