Laura Eleanor McKenny Wagner

Wagner Laura Eleanor McKenny Wagner peacefully passed from the arms of her loving family on Thurs., Dec. 13, 2001. at the Birchwood Health Care Center in Forest Lake, MN. Laura was born on July 10, 1905 in Mott, ND to Charles and Grace McKenny. In 1931 she was married to Peter J. Wagner in Havre, MT. Laura and Peter owned and operated two newspapers in southern Minnesota, The Wilmont Tribune, and The Fulda Free Press. In 1986 the Wagners moved to Chisago City, MN. Peter Wagner died there in 1988. Laura continued to live at Parmly Lakeview Apartments in Chisago City. Laura is survived by three children: Jim & wife Patt Wagner of Naples, FL, Julie & husband Amby Ramola of Lindstrom, MN, and Jerry & wife Joyce Wagner of Milltown, WI. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. A sister, Loretta Warren, also survives Laura. Memorial Mass will be held Monday, December 17, 11:00 am at St. Bridget of Sweden Catholic Church in Lindstrom, MN. Visitation one hour before Mass at the church.
