Silven Nitzberg

Nitzberg Silven, age 87, on December 7, 2002 of cancer in the Mpls home of his daughter, Eileen Nitzberg Collard (Danny). Preceded in death by his wife of 60 yrs, sister, brother, and parents. Survived by daughters, Eileen, Rita Nitzberg Goodell, Falls Church, VA and Dale Nitzberg, Silver Spring, MD and 3 grandsons, Elijah, Michael and Harry. BA in 1935 in Business Economics from Johns Hopkins University. Accountant by profession. Lifelong believer in liberal politics, including active participation in the civil rights movement. Known for his wry sense of humor, and love of Broadway show tunes. Burial to be in Baltimore followed by SHIVA on December 11 at 7 pm at 4412 47th Av. S., Mpls.
