Harry N. Stinley
Stinley Harry N., age 81. Husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Born in Minneapolis on August 14, 1921, died in Tucson, AZ, December 5, 2002. He was in the 25th Infantry Division ``Tropic Lightning''. He was at Pearl Harbor Schofield Barracks on December 7, 1941, and remained in the South Pacific, Hawaii, Manila and various islands until 1945. He retired from the U.S. Air Force with 26 years of Service at Scott Air Force Base, IL, in 1967. He worked for the State of Illinois in Alton, IL, from 1970-1985. He is survived by his wife, Fern (nee deNeui, Ortonville, MN), of Decatur, IL and Tucson, AZ; his daughter, Diane McMullen, of Decatur, IL; son, Harry F. Stinley, of Camden, AR; 2 grandchildren, Scott E. McMullen & Teresa Woodrum, of Decatur, IL; 3 great-granddaughters, Kyrstin & Sabrina McMullen & Kaitlin Jimison, all of Decatur, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, George & Amelia Stinley & 3 brothers, George, John & Frederick Stinley, all of Mpls. Private services were held in Tucson on December 5.
