Donald Lee Schminski

Schminski Donald Lee, 56, Polish and Proud of it, unexpectedly in Coon Rapids, MN on November 27, 2002. Preceded in death by parents, Leo & Cassie (Stancyk) Schminski, Argyle, MN; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Survived by aunts and uncles, Teresa (Schminski) Cromett, St. Paul, Marjorie (Schminski) and Ray Gresczyk, Joseph Walczynski, Ruth Schminski of Duluth, Leonard and Norma Schminski, Fran Schminski of Floodwood; many cousins, other relatives and friends. Don was a 1969 graduate of the University of North Dakota mechanical engineering program. He worked at Johnson Screens, New Brighton, MN for 32 years, where he was a well-liked, hard working, and respected employee. Don was also a fisherman and music lover. Don will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation on Saturday, December 7, 2002, beginning 9:30 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 835 2nd Ave NW, New Brighton, followed at 11:00 AM by Mass of Christian Burial. Private intertment at St. John Cemetery in Warren, MN at a later date. Memorials preferred to Habitat for Humanity, Children's Home Society - Crisis Nurseries Program, or donor's choice.
