Florence E. Tall

Tall Florence E., age 70, of New Brighton, died peacefully at home December 2, 2002 after a valiant 3-year struggle with ALS, Lou Gehrig's disease. She was a devoted and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and spent much of her life in service to others. In turn, many dear friends came forward to help care for her in the time of need, for which the family is profoundly grateful. Survived by husband of 49 years, Russell; children, Susan (Daryl) Velasco, David (Linda) Tall, Barbara Tall, Steven (Carole) Tall and Sara Tall; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Emmett Haugen of Oakes, ND; sisters, Alberta (Ralph) Larson of Alexandria, MN and Idella (Mauritz) Lundeen of Brandon, MN; sister-in-law, RoJean Hedin of Grey Eagle, MN; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Preceded in death by parents, Iver & Emma Haugen and infant brother, Arthur of Elbow Lake, MN and sister-in-law, Lorraine Haugen of Oakes, ND. Funeral service 1 PM Friday at CHRIST THE KING LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1900 7th St. NW, New Brighton. Visitation Thursday, 4-8 PM at HOLCOMB-HENRY-BOOM NORTH CHAPEL, 515 Hwy 96 at Mackubin, Shoreview, and at the church on Friday beginning at 12 noon. Private burial service.
