John Wicklein

Wicklein John, age 85, died in Mpls. on Dec. 2 after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; his parents; and a sister, Barbara Schultz. He was a WWII Veteran and longtime employee of Melroe Mfg. Co. He lived in Wahpeton, ND until his illness. He is survived by sons, John (Judy), Eden Prairie, David (Patti), Shakopee; daughters, Joan (Gary) Marquardt, Wayzata, Barbie (Ray) Overton, Lenexa, KS, Micker (Don) Wold, Fargo, ND, Theresa (Jay) French, Wright, MN, and Judy (Paul) Welu, Detroit Lakes, MN; 2 brothers, Pete of Elgin, IL and Frank (Alyce), Rochester, MN; sister, Milly of Breckenridge, MN; 10 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Audrey Goodnough, Edina; brother-in-law, Bob Schultz, of CA and many nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 6 at 11:00 AM at St. John's Catholic Church in Wahpeton, ND, with visitation 4-8 PM Thursday at the Vertin-Munson Whapeton Funeral Home.
