Marion Maurer Lynch
Lynch Marion Maurer, age 90 of Arlington died Nov. 14, 2002. She was born on June 30, 1912 in Arlington to Charles F. & Capitola (Dodge) Maurer. She graduated from Arlington H.S. in 1928 then studied at Mac Phail School of Music in MPLS for violin & voice before graduating from the U of M School of Music in 1933. She taught music in schools in Detroit Lakes & Excelsior, MN & Janesville, WI. She married Harold W. Lynch on June 13, 1942. She served as church choir director for 17 years; on the Arlington State Bank Board of Directors since 1950, and later served as chairman; and helped found High Island Creek Residence for the mentally handicapped. She loved life and the people in it. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband (3/91), and 2 sisters. She is survived by her children, Mary (David) Hennies; Sheila (Ross) Arneson and Nancy Lynch, all of Arlington, Sheila (A. Paul) Olson of Prior Lake & Keith Olson of Excelsior; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be Tues., Nov. 19, 2002, 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church. Interment will take place in the Arlington Public Cemetery. Visitation will be Mon. from 4-8:00 PM at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington & Tues., 1 hour prior to service at the church. 507-964-2201
