Johnson Elmer M. ``Butch'', age 95, died Nov. 2, 2002. Preceded in death by wife of 68 years, Isabella. Survived and remembered with love & laughter by his daughters, Jerene (Wayne) and Barbara (Ronald); his son, Bradley (Donna); 9 grandchildren & 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Ethel (Wally) Lindahl. Fondly remembered by other family and friends. Butch was born in Hopkins, April 8, 1907 of Swedish immigrant parents. He graduated from Hopkins High School and was co-owner of Hovanders Foods Inc. He was director, president and CEO of Fairway Foods, Inc. He was an active booster of his hometown, President of the Chamber of Commerce, Rotarian and life member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church. Butch had a passion for golf, to play, to watch, to review, hole by hole. He and Belle traveled to all 50 states and abroad. He was given the time to indulge his great-grandchildren and his interest in world events. Memorial service will be at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 715 Mtka Mills Rd., Hopkins, Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002 at 1:30 PM. Private interment. Memorials preferred to the church or donor's choice.
