Bloom John J., age 71, of Bloomington, on October 22, 2002. Preceded in death by his parents, John R. and Claire E. Survived by his sister, Andrea (Paul) Swifka; Also survived by nieces, Sue (Tom) Stadtherr, Mary (Dean) Swifka-Sauers; nephews, Greg (Lisa) Swifka, James (Barbara) Swifka; and 2 great nieces and 6 great nephews and 1 great-great niece. John retired from teaching after more than 20 years at Kennedy Senior High School in Bloomington. Funeral services 10 AM Friday at O'HALLORAN & MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 575 S. Snelling Ave. St. Paul. (651) 698-0796. Visitation Thursday (TODAY) 4-8 pm at the Chapel. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Nativity Church Scholarship Fund, 324 S. Prior Ave., St. Paul.
