Michele Rene (Shelly) Terp, age 40, of Eden Prairie ended her 3½ year battle with breast cancer on Monday afternoon. She will now assume the position of Lead Angel in Heaven, as no soul could possibly fit the role more appropriately. Shelly was born in Fairmont, MN on December 30, 1961. She was the absolutely perfect mother to her 3 beautiful children, Oliva, 9, Gabriella, 8, and Dalton, 4; and WONDERFUL wife to her loving husband, Kris; also survived by her parents, Robert (Ruthe) Young; and Joyce (Bob) Brown; sister, Mary Young and Lisa (Bryan) Rohs; brothers, Mark (Lynne) Young and Patrick (Judy) Young; nieces and nephews. Shelly was a very special person and will be missed dearly by so many people. Her job on earth was to make people feel special and beautiful. God couldn't have chosen a more appropriate profession for her than as a hair stylist. She was the inspiration for anyone battling a terminal illness. People would often argue the fact that she even had cancer, because of her transcending beauty. Her children meant everything to Shelly and to think of leaving them was ``not an option.'' It was this spirit for life that carried her through the valley and on to her Savior, Jesus Christ. His life will now be enriched by the presence of this truly special Angel. Funeral service Saturday, Oct. 26, 2 pm with Visitation 1 hour prior at Wooddale Church of Eden Prairie, 6630 Shady Oak Road (wooddale.org). A Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 25 from 5-8 pm with a prayer service at 7:30 pm at Washburn-McReavy Eden Prairie Chapel, 7625 Mitchell Road (at Hwy 5), Eden Prairie. Shelly requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be made to her children's college fund: The Michele Rene Turp Living Trust, c/o U.S. Bank, 300 Prairie Center Drive, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (952-942-2832).
