Chouinard Richard A. Sr., 70 of McGregor, died Wednesday, October 16, 2002 in the Masonic Home, Bloomington. He was born October 23, 1931. He graduated from North High School, Minneapolis. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in the Korean War. On January 11, 1951 in Anoka, Richard was united in marriage to Mary Alyce Blakeman. He was employed as a meat cutter for many years. He was a member of Hopkins American Legion, and the Local Meat Cutters Union. He is survived by his 5 children, Richard Jr. (Diane) of Maple Grove, Janet (Bob) Johnson of New Hope, Linda Grengs of Chanhassen, Jim of New Hope and Gary of Hibbing; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 1 brother, 5 sisters & their spouses; his dog, Cuddles, besides many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the 10:30 am funeral service on Tuesday in Holy Family Catholic Church, McGregor. Burial will be in Rice River Cemetery. Arrange. by McGregor Funeral Home, McGregor. Memorials are preferred to Holy Family Catholic Church.
