Schwinghamer Gertrude, age 84, died Fri in Albany, MN. Services 11:30 AM Mon, at Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Albany. Visitation 4-9 PM Sun and after 9 AM Mon, at the Miller-Carlin-Breeny Funeral Home in Albany. Gertrude was born on Sept 18, 1918 in Barr, MT. She was raised by her father and step-mother, John and Anna Koorn. She graduated from North HS in Mpls and the Mpls Business College. She married Berthold Schwinghamer on Oct. 17, 1938. They lived in Farmington until 1952 when they moved to Albany. She was a Guernsey Cattle Exhibitor at the MN State Fair, a dairy cattle judge at county fairs, member of the Nat'l Dairy Shrine and she was the 1st women inducted into the MN Livestock Hall of Fame. Survived by children, John, Charles (Joanie), Darlene LeClaire; 2 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren; and her sister Virginia Barkelew.
