Aili Jarvenpa

Jarvenpa Aili, age 84, of Mpls., died September 28 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Preceded in death by husband, Oliver Jarvenpa. Survived by sons, Robert (Hetty Jo Brumbach) and Alan; daughter, Diane (Donald Brundage). She was a U of M graduate and worked as a teacher. A respected poet, translator and editor, she also wrote/edited seven books and was very involved in promoting Finnish culture.
