Selden The Rev. Elizabeth Ann Selden, age 82, of Edina. She was a lifetime student of art and literature, an accomplished painter who brought joy to many through her exceptional works of art. She was especially inspired by her frequent trips to France. Elizabeth was also skilled in the art of conversation and well known for her wit and curiosity. Elizabeth was one of the first female Episcopal Deacons in the State of MN. She brought joy and comfort to her friends and fellow parishioners at St. Stephen's the Martyr Episcopal Church, Edina, for over 45 years. A 1941 graduate of Mills College, Oakland, CA, Elizabeth served her country during WWII as a civil designer of US Navy war ships. Elizabeth lived a long and fulfilling life, giving generously of herself to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by husband, John K. Selden. Survived by children, Andrew, Stephen (Sandra), John (Kim), Victoria (Richard) Schroebel and William (Angela); grandchildren, Erik, Carolyn, Shannon, Anne, Emilie, Kristen, John, Genevieve and Annalise. Memorial service Thurs. 2 PM, St. Stephen the Martyr Episcopal Church, 50th St. & Wooddale Ave., Edina. Private interment Lakewood Cemetery.
