W. Dale Christensen

Christensen W. Dale Christensen, age 81, of Savage, passed away at his home on October 3, 2002. Survived by his wife, Elaine; his sister, Alpha Hoover of Dubuque, IA; children, Steven (Karla) of Elk River, Douglas (Pam) of Medina, Lynne (Rolfe) Otterness of Goodhue; grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Smith of Milaca, Kelly and Hollie Christensen; great-grandchildren, Jazlynne and Treyton Smith; stepchildren, Karyn Alexander of Eden Prairie, Cherie (Jim) Nehl of Eden Prairie, Carolyn (Hiro) Kusuhara of Osaka, Japan; step-grandchildren, Chris Alexander, Nicole (Jon) Wongdock, Matthew and Michelle Nehl, Emily and Riki Kusuhara; step-great-grandchild, Sydney Wongdock. Preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn and his brother, Eldon. He honorably served in WWII, worked in the insurance industry as a field agent in Iowa and later was a claims manager for Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Co. He was a charter member of his church and was a very kind and faithful person. He and Elaine were chosen as Scott County Volunteers for 1999. Memorial service 4:30 pm Saturday (TODAY) at Glendale United Methodist Church, 13550 Glendale Road, Savage, MN. Reception at church following service. Memorials to the church please.
