Jenkinson Margaret A. (Lacher) April 12, 1915 - September 5, 2002. Recently of Elk River, but her heart was in Wayzata, where she lived for over 50 years. Preceded in death by her husband, W. Bruce in 1967, and brothers, George and Arthur Lacher. Survived by daughters: Ann Jenkinson, Newark, California; Katherine Jenkinson (Gary Hydler), Des Moines, Iowa; Jean Jenkinson (Dalton M. McCorkle), Augusta, Georgia; Nancy (Scott) Sedlock, Big Lake, Minnesota; four grandsons: Shawn and Cory Noonan, Bryan and Joseph Sedlock. Margaret owned and operated a pre-school in Wayzata for nine years. She and Bruce co-founded Hydra Powr, Inc. in 1961. After his death, she volunteered for the American Red Cross providing service to military families. She later became an employee, and for over ten years worked as a disaster relief coordinator in cities around the U.S. An avid traveler, she explored the world with her ``widow friends.'' A life-long athlete, she was active in several tennis groups, and participated in senior tennis tournaments well into her seventies. She also enjoyed golf and cross-country skiing. Margaret had a special love for Lake Minnetonka, where she spent summers during her youth and raised her family to enjoy swimming, boating and water skiing. Please join us for a final memorial gathering celebrating Margaret's life on MONDAY, OCTOBER 7 (note date) from 4:00-7:00 pm, with a memorial service at 5:00 pm at the Cremation Society, 4343 Nicollet Ave. S., 612-825-2435.
