Canny Bette Dirks Canny was an enthusiastic, spirited woman who loved teaching and learning, outdoor activities, wood carving, music & painting. She organized school science fairs, MN Academy of Science field trips, humanitarian & charitable activities. She died September 10, 2002. Born in Decorah, IA, on February 23, 1923. She married her sweetheart, Bob Canny; they made their home in Anoka, MN. Her life included Bob; daughters, Carlynn Canny (Steve), Barbara Canny (Mike), Suzanne Canny-Higueros (Accel), and Patricia Bass (Mark); and grandchildren, Ted Treska, Maria and Carmen Higueros, Eric and Allison Bass. Preceded in death by husband, Bob; sister, Lois and brother, Willis. She is missed by daughters and their families; sisters, Muriel Lounsberry (Robert) and Joann Anderson (Leon); and the many people whose lives she touched.
