Marie A. Holmberg

Holmberg Marie Adeline Holmberg (nee DeNoon), age 88, of Mpls., formerly of Montrose and Waverly, passed away peacefully at home on Sept. 8, 2002. Born June 19, 1914, married Byron Holmberg from Watertown, MN on August 8, 1935. Preceded in death by husband, Byron; son, Bruce; grandson, Mark Moeller; parents, Charles F. and Philomene (Golla) DeNoon; brothers, Charles, Robert, William, Edward ``Pat''. Survived by her daughters, Marlene Schneider (Frank), Sharon Moeller (Robert); grandchildren, Kent and Brian Schneider, Jill Ball, Anne Schneider-Sundin, Stacy Merek, Maria Moeller; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Harold DeNoon (Helen); sister-in-law, Elynor DeNoon; her faithful dog, Kody. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations for: NAMI-MN (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, Minnesota), Mark Moeller Scholarship Fund for Voyageur Outward Bound School, or the United Way in Marie Holmberg's name. A funeral service will be held on Monday, Sept. 23, 2002 at 11:00 AM at St. Bridget's Catholic Church, 3811 Emerson Ave N., Mpls. Visitation from 9-11 AM at the church.
