Survived by loving wife, Jo; children, Chris Merritt, Ray (Bonnie) Vail, Pam Conley, Bruce Vail, Linda Vail and Mark Riedel, Milo J. Vail, Brendan Vail (dec.); 8 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sister, Faye (Charles) Christianson. Memorial service 10 a.m. Monday, St. Edward the Confessor, 865 Ferndale Road N., Wayzata.
