Ardes Blumstein

Blumstein Ardes, age 72, passed away in Burnsville, MN. Ms. Blumstein was born and raised in St. Paul, MN. She was a graduate of Macalester College in St. Paul, and received her Master of Fine Arts Degree from George Washington University in conjunction with the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, DC. She resided in Alexandria, VA for 37 years until 1998, where she taught art and sculpture at the Edgar Allen Poe Middle School in Fairfax County, VA for her entire teaching career. Preceded in death by parents, Sarah & Morris Blumstein; and brother, Sherman Blumstein. Survived by brother, Sterling Blumstein, Eagan; sister-in-law, Ethel Blumstein, St. Paul; nieces, Joan Blumstein and Nancy Blumstein; nephew, David Blumstein. GRAVESIDE SERVICES FRIDAY (TODAY), 12:00 NOON, TEMPLE OF AARON CEMETERY, Dale & Larpenteur, St. Paul. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association or donor's favorite charity.
