Krisele '(Kris)' Hass
Hass, Krisele (Kris) Kris passed away peacefully on August 1st, 2015, in Coon Rapids, MN, after a choking accident. She was well known for living independently, despite having cerebral palsy all her life. She was born 1957, in Davenport, IA, and lived with her parents who cared for her. They later moved to Colorado, where she resided until the late 1980s. She moved to the Twin Cities, into several group homes for the handicapped. Kris made many close friends in the Twin Cities, who became part of her life. She worked for DynaVox, by advising their engineers on design changes to their voice synthesizers for non-verbal people. She also represented DynaVox, speaking at conferences for the handicapped. She traveled often, to Europe, the Caribbean, and back to Colorado to visit her family. She loved going to the Colorado mountains when visiting, and even going white water rafting. She is remembered as having a child-like faith in the Lord Jesus for most of her adult life. She had a sense of humor, doing pranks and other things for a laugh. Kris' laughter was her trademark. She was preceded in death, by her parents Albert & Genevieve Hass. She is survived by her brother, Kevin (Gerri) Hass, three nieces and their five children. Her family can be contacted by email at [kevin.dpn AT gmail dot com]. Services will be by Pastor David Nithang. Casual attire is welcomed. Memorial service 2 PM Tuesday, Aug. 11. Friends and family may gather 1 hour prior to service all at: Washburn-McReavy.com Coon Rapids Chapel 763-767-1000 1827 Coon Rapids Blvd.
