Emerson John E., age 69, of Fridley, MN. Owner of Emerson Automotive in Columbia Heights for 46 years. Passed away Tuesday, 8/20/02 at North Memorial Residential Hospice. Preceded in death by his parents, Ralf & Martha. Survived by wife of 50 years, Sherry; sons, David (Margo), Greg (Cheryl), and Keith (Lisa); daughters, Susan (Gary) McBride, Lisa (Randy) Hansen, and Deanna Christen; 15 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; and his faithful dog, Angel. Funeral service 11 am Thursday at Peace Lutheran Church, 20 Northdale Blvd., Coon Rapids. Visitation 4-8 PM TODAY at the Gearhart Coon Rapids Chapel, 11275 Foley Blvd NW, and one hour before service at church. Memorials preferred. Private entombment, Hillside Cemetery.
