Salamandyk Mary (nee Klem), age 93, of NE Minneapolis. Wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Born February 4, 1909 in Manitoba, Canada. Passed away peacefully on August 18. Preceded in death by husband, William; brothers, Nick, Paul, Peter and Mike. Long-time member of St. Olga's sisterhood of St. Michael's Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Survived by her children, Dolores (Ted) Gromek, St. Anthony, John (Sue) Salamandyk, Mesa, Gloria (David) Kniaz, Dallas; grandchildren, Janice (Marty) Cole, White Bear Lake, Cheryl (Mike) Flandrena, Boston, Gayle (Burt) Selsback, St. Anthony, Cindy Salamandyk, Bloomington, Kristin Salamandyk, Freeport, Tim Salamandyk, New Jersey, Dawn (Randy) Nolan, Houston, and Kimberly Kniaz, Dallas. Also survived by 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral from the Kozlak-Radulovich Funeral Chapel, 1918 University Ave NE Thursday at 10 AM. Funeral services at St. Michael's Ukrainian Orthodox Church (5th Ave. NE & 4th St) at 10:30 AM. Interment Sunset Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM.
