Gertrude E. Metzger

Metzger Gertrude E., 93, of Guardian Angels Care Center, Elk River, formerly of Big Lake and Becker, passed away August 15, 2002. Gertrude was born August 24, 1908 in Santiago, MN to Frank and Wilhelmina (Allen) Henderson. She is survived by children, Keith (Gladys) and Fred (Gloria) of Becker, Marjorie (Bill) Moores and Merwin ``Peewee'' (Janet) of Big Lake, David (Babe) of Detroit Lakes, Dennis (Kathy) of Ottertail, Lucille ``Lucy'' (Dennis) Lloyd and Carol (Tom) Lloyd of Elk River, and Joanne (Ray) Tollas of St. Paul; 25 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Bill (Mazine) Henderson of Paynesville; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lorenz; parents, Frank & Mina; infant brother, Clyde; sister, Hazel Jendro; and infant great-grandson, David Osborn. Funeral services will be Monday, August 19, 2002 at 11 AM at Saron Lutheran Church, 311 Lake Street South, Big Lake. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 8 PM at the church, and also one hour prior to the funeral on Monday. Interment will be at Big Lake Cemetery.
