Cohn Marius, age 82, of Minneapolis. Survived by wife of over 50 yrs, Eva; daughters & sons-in-law, Enid & Steven Cohen of Tustin, CA, and Kathryn & Rabbi Mark Peilen of South Side Ala.; son & daughter-in-law, Thomas & Terri Cohn of Maple Grove; brother-in-law, John & Elizabeth Marcus of Skokie, IL; and sister-in-law, Miriam Cohn of Mpls; grandchildren, Michael, Andrew, Ben, Geoffrey, Rebecca. Marius was born in Romania in 1919 and immigrated shortly there after with his immediate family to Minnesota. He grew up in South Minneapolis, attended South High, and then attended studies at the University of Minnesota and subsquently obtaining his doctorate at the University of Illinois in Physics. Marius returned to Minneapolis and worked for Unisys and later as an independent energy consultant and physics professor at the University of Minnesota. He was active throughout his life in local politics, and later in the Southwest Senior Center serving on the Board, establishing the Senior Linkage Line Program.
