Smith, Barbara Dee Loving Wife, Mother, Friend. Age 54, of Saint Paul. Died peacefully at home on October 4, after a long battle with cancer. Survived by husband, Paul and daughter, Shelley; parents, Bill and Doris Dee, of Thief River Falls, Minnesota; brother, Dennis Dee, of Milwaukee; brother, Jim Dee, of Las Vegas; sister, Nancy Whitley, of Okinawa, Japan; sister, Sue Dee, of Moorhead, Minnesota; brother, Joe Dee, of Atlanta; and numerous other relatives, friends, and cats. Barb was the "glue" that held our family together, and we will miss her terribly. Barb was one of those rare people who could talk to anyone of any age, and make them feel at ease. Although she couldn't always tell a joke and get the punchline straight, she had a gentle sense of humor that always left everyone smiling. Although Barb was always busy, she always made the time to help others. Whether taking on one more sewing project for a relative or friend, or fostering homeless kittens, Barb was always there. Funeral service at MUELLER- BIES FUNERAL HOME-ROSEVILLE, 2130 N. Dale St. @ Co Rd B on Monday, October 9 at 11 AM. Interment Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation from 5-8 PM Sunday and from 10 AM Monday until time of service. If you can, wear something purple, and bring a few cupcakes. MUELLER-BIES 651-487-2550
