Evan Moen Day

Day Evan Moen, age 91, on July 26th in Fergus Falls, MN. Survived by wife, Edith and family: daughters, Gloria Day, Susan (Richard) Hackerson; sons, Dallas (Sharon) Day, Bradley Day; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by first wife, Marion; grandson, David; brother, Maurice. Evan Day was in the lumber industry for 36 years with Northwestern Flooring and Lumber Co. in St. Paul as a hardwood lumber wholesaler. He was active in the Midway Exchange Club of St. Paul, and achieved 32nd Degree Mason in the Scottish Rite. He devoted much of his retirement years to pursuing an interest in family history. He served as Governor for the MN Society of Mayflower Descendants and as Capt. General in the National Society from 1975-78. Memorial service Sat., Aug. 10, 11 am, Congregational Church in Grand Marais, MN. Interment Grand Marais. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Broen Memorial Home, 824 S. Sheridan, Fergus Falls, MN 56538-0123.
