Douglas Charles Dietsche, age 29 of New Hope, MN and Bloomer, WI went home to his Lord on July 26, 2002 following a 2 car accident on Highway 55 just West of the Twin Cities. Doug is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Arlene (Anderson) Dietsche, Gladys (Rasmussen) Leppen; and uncle, Roger ``Buddy'' Kinsey. He is survived by father, Barry (Viv) Dietsche and mother, Janis (Chuck) Hyde; brother, Nathan (Beth) Dietsche; and sisters, Jennifer (Chuck) Loew, Sarah Dietsche; grandfathers, Herbert Dietsche and Elmer Leppen. Also survived by partner, Jeremy Haug; special friends, Lance Taylor, Scott Weide, Ken Keate; and numerous friends and co-workers; nephew, Stephen; nieces Carissa, Samantha, Alexandra; as well as numerous aunts and uncles. With great passion he was driven by faith and service to his Lord in all that he did. This fall Doug was to begin his second year at United Theological Seminary in New Brighton, MN, working toward becoming a pastor. Doug worshipped at All God's Children Metropolitan Community Church in Minneapolis, where he served on many committees including the Board of Directors and Pastoral Search Teams. He had been employed by Honeywell International, Carlson Companies, the Star-Tribune, and most recently at Morries Buffalo Ford. Gardening was his joy and delight. Many of his friends and family have their homes enlightened as a result of his gardening passion. His spirit was visible in his distinctive laugh, which all of us dearly loved. Doug will leave a massive void in all of our hearts. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm, Tuesday July 30, 2002 at Fuller-Spreckien Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 1 pm Wednesday, July 31, 2002 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1314 East Lexington Boulevard, Eau Claire, preceded by an hour's visitation, with interment following at Bloomer Cemetery, Bloomer, WI. There will be a special memorial service at All God's Children Metropolitan Community Church, 3100 Park Ave., Mpls, at 7 pm Friday, August 2, 2002.
