Tait Robert John (Jack), age 71, of New Hope. Died Wed., July 17th. Survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Diane M.; sons, Patrick A. (Bonnie) of Saugus, CA and Kevin M. (Sara) of Brooklyn Park; daughters, Kathryn M. (Bill) of St. Paul & Carol A. (Scott) Whiteford of Andover; grandchildren, Cassandra, Danielle, Jessica, Grace and Jack Tait, Kelson Valentine and Mikaela Whiteford; sister, Margaret (James) Read of Oakville, Ont. Canada. Preceded in death by parents, Andrew and Mary Tait of Ontario, Canada. Jack began his career with the Canadian National Railroad in 1948. He moved to the United States in 1954 at which time he was drafted and spent a year overseas. Upon returning, he joined The Milwaukee Road in Duluth. Jack retired from the Soo Line in 1991. He was a member of the Soo-Vivors, the Veterans Employee Assn of the Soo Line RR and the North Windr's at North Memorial. Special thanks to North Hospice for all of their support and care. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Saturday at St. Joseph Parish Center, 36th and Boone Ave N. Int. Gethsemane. Visitation 5-7 PM Friday at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 39th and W. Broadway and 1 hr before Mass at the parish center. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to North Hospice or St. Joseph's Parish Community. Gearty-Delmore 763-537-4511
