Janet Simon Aelony

Aelony Janet Simon Aelony, 89, died peacefully on Sunday, July 14, 2002 in the Los Angeles, California area in the loving care of son, Yossef. Born in New York City, she studied at the University of Wisconsin, Johns Hopkins and University of Minnesota. Active in many organizations in the Twin Cities, she also taught in Minneapolis Public Schools and later tutored English in Beer Sheva, Israel. She recently brought books to shut ins among other volunteer activities. Preceded in death by husband, David; and grandchildn, Arieh. She is survived by sons, Zev and wife Karen of Minneapolis; and Dr. Yossef and wife Ginette of Palos Verdes, CA; six grandchildren; brother, Myron Simon & his daughters, Merrill & Lee; many other nieces & nephews, grand nieces & grand nephews; as well as many friends and former students.
