Sweet John Melbourne ``Mel'', age 96 formerly of Litchfield, MN, recently of Edina and Mpls. Preceded in death by beloved wife, Phyllis Haley; sister-in-law Sr. Marie Philip Haley. Survived by loving son, John (Barbara) Sweet of Woodbury; granddaughter, Barbara (Patrick) Gallagher; grandson John Sweet of Woodbury; great-grandchildren, Patrick and Ryan Gallagher. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 11 AM at ST. RICHARD'S CAHTOLIC CHURCH 7540 Penn Ave S, Richfield. Visitation Tuesday 4-7 PM at the THOMSON-DOUGHERTY FUNERAL HOME 2535 Park Avenue, Mpls., also 1 hr prior to mass at church. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights.
