Linse, Dorothy Fern (Hilton) age 84 died on March 21, 2015. She was born June 27, 1930 in Galesville, WI to Henry Lawrence and Jeanette Fern Hilton. Dorothy was the first of her family to attend college. After graduating from UW-Stout with a Bachelor's in Home Economics, she taught high school and served as the Clark County Home Economist. She married August Albert Linse on Aprl 7, 1956 at North Bend Presbyterian Church. Shortly after their marriage, the couple traveled to New York where Dorothy participated in the National Pillsbury Bake-Off. The couple farmed in Athens and Eau Claire, WI. Dorothy's extensive community involvement included church activities, 4-H, IFYE, American Sewing Guild, and DAR. She also served on the Eau Claire County Board. After Augie's death, Dorothy moved to Fridley, MN to be nearer to her children and grandchildren. She was passionate about history, sewing and travel. She traveled to most of the world's continents. Dorothy will be missed by children, Jan (Larry) Baldwin, Kris (Kirk) Livingston, Lynn (Sunee) Linse, Paula Dietz, an Jill (Larr Sibik) Linse; also her ten grandchildren and her sister, Elaine Baron. Preceded in death by husband of 34 years, Augie Linse, parents, and sisters, Jeanette Brown and Mary Johnson. Services will be held Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 2 PM with visitation one hour prior at Hillside Funeral Chapel, 2610 19th Ave NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418. Burial on Sunday, March 29 at 1 PM at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Eau Claire County.
