Mary Elizabeth Mauterer

Mauterer Mary Elizabeth, 76, of Decatur, died 2:51 am Friday, June 28, 2002 in Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Tuesday, July 2, 2002, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, with prayer services at 8 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. A reception for family and friends will be held immediately after the Mass. Private family inurnment services at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. Surviving are her husband, Roger; daughters, Mary Katherine Demazure & husband, Jean of Erlon, France, Christine Pogue & husband, Steven of Decatur, Lisbeth Shusterich and her late husband Francis Shusterich of Stillwater, MN, and Martha Swendsen & husband, Michael of Mendota Heights, MN; grandchildren, Michael, Christine, and Claire Demazure, Ann and Betsy Pogue, Jeff and Dan Shusterich, and baby Swendson (expected November 2002); brother, Robert Baujan of NC; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, DoRae. Mary Beth was a devoted and loving wife, exceptional mother and grandmother, and a dear friend to many. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the many kindnesses shown to Mary Beth.
