Schmidt Doris Mae, 69, of Eden Prairie & Sun City West, AZ, died Sunday. Survived by her husband, William; children, William (Loretta Koster) Schmidt II of Edwardsville, IL & Wendy (Michael) Sebesta of Rochester; grandchildren, William III, Ross & Karl Schmidt, Ian Koster, Jennifer & Elisabeth Sebesta; brother, Earle (Shawna) Anderson of Menomonie and sister, Carole (John) Erickson of St. Cloud. Doris was born April 7, 1933 in Red Wing, MN to Clarence and Regina (Thomforde) Anderson. A 1951 graduate of Red Wing Central High, she attended Stephens College in Columbia, MO, receiving an Associate's degree in Fashion Merchandising. On Oct. 10, 1953, she married William Schmidt. They have lived in the Mpls. metro area since 1955. In 1996, they bought a winter home in Sun City West, AZ. A long-time member of the Hollydale Women's Golf League, she also served many years as an election judge in Plymouth. In her free time, she enjoyed golfing, sewing often designing her own fashions, and was a team player with her grandchildren. Funeral Thurs., June 27, 11 am at St. John's Lutheran Church, 423 East Ave., Red Wing. Visitation Wed., 5-8 pm at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, 602 Plum St., Red Wing, and one hour prior to service at church. Burial Oakwood Cemetery, Red Wing.
