Ruth A. Calendine

Calendine Ruth A., age 85, of Mpls, passed away June 16, 2002. Ruth graduated from Eastern Washington College of Education and the University of Washington. She taught elementary education for 25 years and was past president of American Childhood Education. She enjoyed a lifelong passion for quilting and was a member of Minnesota Quilters. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin. She is survived by children, Becky (John) Hurst, Anne Anderson, Cal (Rene Coult) Calendine; grandchildren, Nikki (Jason) Grosz, Jenny and Matt Anderson, Ben and Layne Calendine. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 19 at 7 pm, with visitation 5-7 pm at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, 5025 Knox Ave S., Mpls. Private interment, Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
