Osterhaus Luke F., of Eagan, MN, formerly of Maquoketa, IA, died Thursday, June 13th, 2002 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Services will be held at ST. THOMAS BECKET CATHOLIC CHURCH, 4455 S. Robert Trail, Eagan, at 11 am Monday, June 17th. Friends may call at the J.S. KLECATSKY AND SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1580 Century Point (Yankee Doodle @ Coachman), Eagan, Sunday, June 16th, (TODAY) from 3 to 8 pm and Monday at the church prior to the funeral mass starting at 10 am. Private interment. Luke is survived by his wife, Jill; daughters, Catherine and Annie, both at home; his parents of Maquoketa; brothers, Fr. Mark of Cedar Rapids, John (Mary Pat) of Seattle, WA, Matt (Marilyn) of Maquoketa; sisters, Jane (Ray Townsend) Osterhaus of Park City, UT, Kate (Mike) Corrigan of La Grange Park, IL, Molly (Bob) Whitmore of Eden Prairie, MN, Meg (David) McNaught of Mapleton, Queensland, Australia, Amy (John) Moisan of Woodbury, CT, Betsy (Mike) Hand of St. Paul, MN and 30 nieces and nephews. He was born in Anamosa, IA on March 25th, 1963 to Bob and Ann (Duhigg) Osterhaus. He graduated from Maquoketa High School in 1981. In 1985, he graduated from St. Mary's College, Winona, MN. He married Jill Zimmerman on July 5th, 1985. That same year he joined Jostens in Minneapolis where his contributions will be valued for years to come. He was recently honored by Jostens with the Legend and Lifetime Achievement Awards. Luke was very active in his daughters' athletic and scholastic endeavors. He also served his church and community via the Minnesota Academic Excellence Foundation (MAEF), United Way and various other local boards. He had a passion for life and had many gifts that he willingly shared with others. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established. Contributions may be sent to Luke Osterhaus Memorial Fund.
