James E. Erlandson

Erlandson James E., age 73, of Bloomington. Born Aug. 8, 1929, died peacefully on July 16, 2003. Graduated from the University of MN, and retired from the Bloomington Post Office in 1984. Honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force after serving four years in El Paso, TX and Nagoya, Japan. Preceded in death by parents, Dorothy (nee Aasve) and Kenneth R. Erlandson; and sister, Joan Falk/Masmer. Survived by his wife of 52 years, Donna Jean (nee Christensen/Nelson); daughter, Cheryl (Scott) Favre; sons, James & David (Deb); grandchildren, Brandon & Max Favre, Michael & Christina Erlandson, and Brian, Melissa & Megan Erlandson; brother, Robert (Jan); and other family members. Jim enjoyed his deer hunting cabin, fishing, and his home and garden. Much appreciation for the sensitivity and care of the Hospice of the Lakes program and the staff of the 4th floor hospice unit at North Memorial Hospital. Funeral Service Monday, 2 PM at Dawn Valley Funeral Home (9940 Bush Lake Rd., Bloomington). Visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment Dawn Valley Memorial Park.
