Rossing Mabel K., age 83 of Fridley, passed away July 8, 2003. Mabel was born in Wolf Point, MT on Dec. 31, 1919 to Ernest & Borghild (Evenson) Sjoquist. She moved to Roseau, MN in 1937 with her family. She met and married Ingvald Rossing in 1942. In 1958 they settled in Fridley. Mabel and Ingvald were charter members of St. Philip's Lutheran Church and were highly active throughout their years there. Mabel had a quick smile and giggle, loved to feed her family, and was most noted for her Lefse making. She enjoyed spending time with her family, quilting, and reading a good book. Preceded in death by husband, Ingvald; siblings; and parents. Survived by sons, David and Jonathan; daughters, Kristine Tapper and Marilyn Salness; siblings, Ellen Stevenson (Minot, ND) and Bernie Sjoquist (Seattle, WA); 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service 10:30 AM Monday, July 14th at St. Philip's Lutheran Church, 6180 NE Hwy 65, Fridley (763-571-1500). Visitation in church Sunday, 5-8 PM and 1 hour prior to service Monday in church.
