Bohlen Milton L. Bohlen 5/2/1937 - 7/9/2003 Milton L. Bohlen, 66, died 7/9/03 after an 8 week struggle with brain cancer. He is survived by his loving wife, Floydene; children, Bradley Bohlen (Holly), St. Joseph, MN, Brenda Rogers (John), Mound, MN, Nancy Harnden (Ken), Dallas, TX; six grandchildren, Jillayne and Kara Bohlen, Gretchen and Betsy Baer, Paul and Luke Rogers, and many dearly loved nieces, nephews, and friends; brothers, Earl (Helen), Milbank, SD, Jim (Joan), Bay City, MI, Reiner (Libby), Casa Grande, AZ, Don (Sally), Merrill, MI, Dennis, Toledo, OH, Dean (Bonnie), Scottsdale, AZ; sisters-in-law, Eleanor Bohlen, Two Harbors, MN, Judy Schwartz (Milton), Sioux Falls, SD; mother-in-law, Dollie Wilkerson, Sioux Falls, SD. Preceded in death by parents, Otto and Reka; brother, Arthur and sister, Vera. Milton was born on 5/2/1937 in Milbank, SD. Attended Milbank High School and South Dakota State University, Brookings, SD. He moved to the Minneapolis area in 1961 as National Sales Manager of Nicholas International. Since 1968, he had been a business owner of Lakeland Vet Inc. and United-Vet Equine, along with business partner, Dale Steege, retired partner, Peter Sheldrick, and long-time office manager, Rita Schlosser. Milt was a very generous man who measured his personal success in terms of giving. He was an active volunteer of Methodist Hospice, and in the Amicus prison program. Milt and Floydene were active members of Holy Nativity Lutheran Church in New Hope, MN, for 38 years. We thank the wonderful staff at Methodist Hospital, and N.C. Little Hospice in Edina for their compassion and loving support. Visitation will be Sunday, 7/13/03, 4-7 PM at Washburn-McReavy Eden Prairie Chapel, 7625 Mitchell Road (1 blk N. of Hwy 5). Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Monday, 7/14/03, with visitation one hour prior at St. John's Lutheran Church, 2451 Fairview Lane, Mound, (952-472- 1416). Private family interment will take place at Lakewood Mausoleum in Minneapolis. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church, Mound, MN and Holy Nativity Lutheran Church, New Hope, MN. Washburn-McReavy Eden Prairie Chapel 952-975-0400
