Kenneth O. Belanger

Belanger Kenneth O., age 86 of Waite Park, formerly Kimball, died Sunday, July 6, 2003 at the Sterling Park Health Care Center in Waite Park. The funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday at the Crystal Hills Assembly of God Church near Paynesville. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home of Paynesville. Kenneth Ovid Belanger was born June 10, 1917 in Crosby, MN. He was the son of Joseph & Ella (Haroux) Belanger. Kenneth grew up in Crosby where he attended school and he later graduated from St. John's University with a BA degree. Kenneth was married to Kathleen Kelly on May 17, 1943 in St. Cloud. They were married 60 years. Following their marriage they lived in various communities including St. Cloud, Yankton SD, Blythe CA, and Mpls for 36 years. Kenneth was an accountant for several years before beginning his teaching career at the Dunwoody Institute and the St. Paul Vo. Tech. School. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Kathleen of Waite Park; sons, Kenneth Jr. of Maple Grove, Stephen of Eagan, Kelly of Brooklyn Center; daughter, Mary Kay Belanger of New York NY; 3 grandchildren; 3 great- grandchildren; sister, Lucille Rathe of St. Cloud, Odile Belanger of St. Cloud; and brother, Stephen (Ethel) Belanger of Camarillo CA.
