Thomas-McMahan Evelyn C. Thomas-McMahan of Mpls, MN died June 15, 2003 at Mount Olivet Careview Home. She was 93. She was born September 19, 1909 near Cokato, MN to Gustav and Mary Celine. In her lifetime, in addition to Mpls, she lived in Hankinson, SD, Galves- ton, TX, Seattle, WA, Flossmoor, IL and Rogers, AR. Ms. McMahan attended the University of Minnesota, where she was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education with a major in Natural Science. After graduation, she taught Science and coached girls basketball for three years at the high school in Hakinson, ND. She then served for eight years as Secretary to the Heads of Pediatrics, first at the University of Minnesota and later at the University of Texas. In addition to her devotion to family and friends, Ms. McMahan's lifetime activities included Christian Education, League of Women's Voters, P.E.O., gardening and bridge. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Lincoln A. Thomas; her second husband, Kenton D. McMahan; a younger brother, Norman Celine; and two sisters, Ruthie Krook and Mae Flood. She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Robert & Cathy Thomas of Granby, CO; and two grandsons, Daniel of Laramie, WY and Michael of Denver, CO. No services will be held. Interment will be at Knapp, MN and Green Bay, WI. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
