Ruth V. Bakken

Bakken Ruth V., age 86, of Edina, on June 6, 2002. Ruth was a professional dancer with vaudeville on the Orpheum circuit. She taught at The Chicago National Dance Masters and also at Lucille Stoddart Dance Congress in NY. She taught dancing at Adair Studios for 30 years. In 1985 she started and performed with The Edina Rhinestone Rockettes. Survived by husband, Edmund; son, David (Donice); grandchildren, Kris (John) Mooney, Steve, and Beth (Victor) Thompson; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Eleanor Tegner. Service Monday 2 pm at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, 5025 Knox Av S, Mpls. Private interment Lakewood Cemetery. WERNESS BROTHERS 612-927-8641
