Florence Catherine Rush

Rush Florence Catherine Rush, age 95, of Mpls. Born Oct. 10, 1907, died July 3, 2003. Preceded in death by son, Thomas, and husband, Mathew (Bud). Survived by children Patricia (Paul) Scanlon, Michael (Roberto Cabugao), James, Mark, and Mary (Del) Smith; 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, one great-great grandson, and her 100 year old sister, Jesse Liebisch. Florence and Bud owned "Bud's Snack Shop" on 48th & Chicago in S. Mpls, a favorite "hangout" for high school students in the 1940s, and later operated the Heidelberg Dining Lounge and the Richfield Tavern. Mass of Christian Burial 2 PM Monday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Community, 54th St & 11th Ave S, Mpls, with visitation one hour prior to Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Mount Olivet Home, 5517 Lyndale Ave S, Mpls, 55419, or the American Diabetes Association.
