Gill James Thomas, born June 23, 1930, died June 25, 2003. His parents, James Thomas Gill and Alice Kunitz preceded him in death; also his former wife, Diane Spooner, in 2000; and his son, Jay Gill in 1992. He served in the US Army in an artillery unit of the 5th Army and was awarded Korean Service Medal with two bronze service stars and United Nations Service Medal. Jim was homeless for almost 40 years and turned his life around when John and Jenny Hodges befriended him in 1999. He was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served as a greeter for 2 years. Services Thursday (TODAY) 11 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, 9700 Nesbitt Ave S, Bloomington. Interment Fort Snelling. Washburn-McReavy 952-938-9020
