Bach Florence Smith Bach, age 92, died peacefully with her daughters by her side on June 25, 2003. "Flossie" was born August 30, 1910, and raised in Humphrey, Nebraska where she graduated Valedictorian of her high school class at the age of 15. She moved with her family to Omaha when she was 18 and graduated from business college. There she met and married the love of her life, Charles Bach, while she was a secretary and he was a rising executive with Sears Roebuck. She faithfully supported him through many career moves until settling in Edina in 1945. She was a charter member of the Edina Country Club, and a 52 year member of Our Lady of Grace parish. She was a great dancer, an AAU swimming champion, and an avid golfer. Her generous, kind spirit and endless capacity for love will always be remembered, and we will particularly miss her sparkle, style, and zest for life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alma & Joseph Smith; husband, Charles Bach; brothers, George, Gene, and Ray; sisters, Alvina, Pearl, and Margie; and dear friend, Lee Jensen. She is survived by daughters, Sunny Wicka (Dick), and Charlee Parker (Rett); grandchildren, Richard, Jim, Bill, Kristin, John, Tom, Bach, Lara, and Nicholas; 12 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Florence Smith Bunn; and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 5:30 PM followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 6:30 PM Monday, June 30, at Our Lady of Grace Church, 5071 Eden Ave, Edina. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights, MN. Memorials may be made to the Nash Fund, 5001 Penn Ave S, Mpls, 55410. Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel 9542-920-3996
