James F. Fleming

Fleming James F. Fleming, Sr., of Richfield. Age 82, June 21, 2003. To have met Jim would have been a true delight in your day. To have known Jim was a true high point in our lives. We truly wish that we could have had him with us longer on this earth, but it was not to be. Jim dearly missed his wife and best friend of 53 years, Virginia, who preceded him in death in 1998. He was retired from Richfield Public Schools after 30 years of service. He is survived by his children, Nancy (Nick) Kunkel, Jim Jr. (Pat) and Jeff (Kay); grandchildren, Ginny (Jeff), Jason (Nicki), Jon, Ryland (Shaina) and Robyn; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Kai and Saidah; sister, Marge Carlson; nieces, nephews and many friends. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Burton Schwartz and the nursing staff of Stations 20 and 31 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Memorial service Thursday, June 26 at 7 pm at the Cremation Society of Minnesota Chapel, 7110 France Ave. S., Edina with visiting from 5-7 pm. Memorials may be made to the Cyrus Northrup School in care of the family.
