Kennedy Neil James (Jim), age 83 died peacefully on 8/19/05 surrounded by the family he held so dear. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Bernadette and brothers, John and Robert. Jim will be dearly missed by his 3 daughters, Kathy (Jim) Fisher, Donna Kennedy and Tracey (Russ) Maziarka and 2 adored grandsons, Christopher and Stephen. Jim was a devoted and caring husband and a supportive, generous father. He spent most of his life in Mpls. Jim was a WW II Navy veteran and an accomplished athlete, playing hockey, golf, baseball, basketball and as a Little League coach. Jim was lucky to love his jobs in the grocery business at Red Owl and National Tea. "Dad, thanks for always believing in us. We promise to work hard and have our oil changed regularly. We love you and we'll miss you very much." The family would like to thank the Hopkins Care Center and Methodist Hospice staffs for their kindness. A funeral mass will be held at the Church of St. Peter in Richfield, 6730 Nicollet Ave S. at 10 AM on Thursday, followed by private interment at Fort Snelling.
