Webster C. Martin
Martin Webster C. Martin, Jr., aged 77, of Woodbury, Minnesota. Born November, 1927, Duluth, MN. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Ruth, daughter Rebecca, and sons, Alexander, Andrew and Benjamin, daughters- in-law Ann Verme and Mary Martin, grandchildren Ginger and Joseph, sister Elisabeth and brother Thomas. He worked for 42 years for the Minnesota Department of Human Services, finishing his career as an Appeals Referee. Webster died on Sunday evening at the Guthrie Theatre. He always enjoyed the theatre and classical music. He was passionate about progressive social justice issues and causes. He was a good man and loved by his family, colleagues and friends. We will miss his booming laugh. As an admirer of Paul Wellstone, he would ask to be remembered by each of you asking yourselves, "What would Wellstone do?" And then do it. An "elegant" remembrance party will be planned for the near future.
