Rosengren John "Jack"Pershing Rosengren, age 83, formerly of Mound, MN. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Shirley. Survived by his children, John (Carol) of Lakeville, James (Mardell) of Minnetonka, Lynn (Lawrence) McMichael of Maple Grove, Scott (Sharon) of Mound, Sue (Paul) Kirkwold of Starbuck, Lori (Bryan) Emerick of Mound and Renee' (Brian) Schroeder of Independence. Also survived by 21 grandchildren; and 11 great- grandchildren. Jack was born in Red Wing, MN. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in business. After working in Washington, DC and holding various positions with local insurance companies, Jack and Shirley moved with the youngest 3 of their 7 children to San Juan, Puerto Rico, where he became Vice President of the Manuel San Juan Insurance Agency. After several years, they moved back to Minnesota establishing the JP Rosengren & Associates Insurance Agency in Long Lake, MN which operated until his retirement in 1982. Jack and Shirley were performing members of the "Geritol Frolics" musical performance troupe in Brainerd, MN, where they lived during the 80's. After returning to Mound Jack became involved in the local Knights of Columbus and helped operate the area food shelf program. Jack's love of family, competitiveness, spirit and intelligence were his trademarks and forte and he will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thurs., June 19, 2003 at 11 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 2385 Commerce Blvd., Mound. Visitation Wed., from 5- 7 PM at Huber Funeral Home, 1801 Commerce Blvd., Mound, and one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
